Bats in the Belfry

Something I have been working on over the past couple of days. I don't think I'll ever get an art style that I like. ;__; But dammit, I will try!

Two characters from a story (?) I hope to write someday. :3

Conceptual artwork of two characters from an upcoming light literature/YA (?) piece (possibly a graphic novel!). A hapless heroine, sent to a boarding school after having troubles at her old one, is in for a world of otherworldly frights as she finds out her new student body is comprised entirely of vampires!

These two boys are just two of the plethora of undead she will meet during her adventures, but are considered to be "main characters". :D Their names are:

Claude: (The blonde)
- Appears to be between the ages of 16 and 17, but is actually well over 100.
- He has a grating prankster personality, and is wholesomely mischievous. He is of the "class clown" archetype. However, his brash attitude is a cloak for a more sensitive nature.
- He hates homework, teachers, and especially tests (which he manages to pass by the skin of his teeth). A lazy sort, he can often be found sleeping in the library or lounging about in trees.

Lucien: (The brunet)
- Appears to be 16, but is 220-years old.
- He comes from an old and well-respected vampire family, one with aristocratic "blue blood", so to speak. Because he is so used to being revered and getting everything he wants, he comes across as a prat.
- He has a cold and calculating demeanor, and is the school bully and serious-minded class president. Despite the necessary conducting of the class, he is snobby and arrogant and has little to do with those he considers "beneath" him.
- His favourite time is mealtime (he loves the thrill of the hunt), and he loathes religious paraphernalia.
